# Import by QR code

**Step 1**: After following the steps to arrive to the [**Add account**](/beta/mobile-app-user-guide/create-a-new-account/if-you-already-have-an-account-with-subwallet.md) section, please choose the **Import by private key** option.

**Step 2**: Please scan the QR code of the account you want to import into SubWallet. \
Please make sure to grant the wallet the permission to use your camera.&#x20;

**Step 3**: Set up an account name and a password for your new account. Then click **Import account**.\
This password would be crucial, as we would ask you to provide password for every transaction. \
\
Please note that SubWallet is non-custodial, so you would be the only person who know your password; we cannot help you restore or change password. Please make sure that your password is well-kept.
