Forgot master password

Hit a little snag and forgot your master password? No worries, we've got your back.

If you forgot your password, don't worry! You can quickly regain access to your accounts by re-importing them using your seed phrase/JSON backup file/Private key/QR backup code, and you'll be back in control in no time.

Step 1: Open the SubWallet app. On the Welcome screen, hit "Forgot password".

Step 2: A pop-up message will appear with 2 options provided: "Reset account" and "Erase all".

With the "Reset account" option

This action will reset some information associated with your account, including your:

• Balances & NFTs

• Staking

• Crowdloans

• Transactions (History)

• Address book

• Website access config/settings

With the "Erase all" option

This action will reset all the information associated with your account.

Besides resetting the information listed like when you click "Reset account", it will also reset your:

• List of custom networks and tokens

• Network & asset state (turn on/turn off)

• Settings: security, currency, language, ...

Step 3: Once you choose either of these options, all the accounts you have previously imported will be removed. You will be directed to the Welcome screen.
