# Forgot master password

If you forgot your password, don't worry! You can quickly regain access to your accounts by re-importing them using your seed phrase/JSON backup file/Private key/QR backup code, and you'll be back in control in no time.

**Step 1**: Open the SubWallet app. On the Welcome screen, hit "**Forgot password**".

**Step 2:** A pop-up message will appear with 2 options provided: "**Reset account**" and "**Erase all**".

#### **With the "Reset account" option**

This action will **reset some** information associated with your account, including your:

* Balances & NFTs
* Staking
* Crowdloans
* Transactions (History)
* Address book
* Website access config/settings

#### **With the "Erase all" option**

{% hint style="info" %}
This action will **reset all** the information associated with your account.

Besides resetting the information listed like when you click "**Reset account**", it will also reset your:

* List of custom networks and tokens
* Network & asset state (turn on/turn off)
* Settings: security, currency, language, ...

**Step 3**: Once you choose either of these options, all the accounts you have previously imported will be removed. You will be directed to the Welcome screen.
